Chelsea €65m for Roma's Dzeko and Emerson (Sky italia)
Roma and Chelsea are in negotiations for Emerson Palmieri, but Sky Sport Italia report this evening they’re discussing Edin Dzeko too in a double €65m deal.
The January transfer window is in full swing and it is well known that Antonio Conte’s men have targeted left-back Emerson Palmieri, who has been valued at €25m.
“There’s nothing certain yet, we are in a phase of discussion and evaluation,” Emerson’s agent Fernando Garcia of Elenko Sports told Calciomercato.com.
“Chelsea are a concrete possibility, absolutely. Now the two clubs are talking, we’ll see if they reach a positive conclusion.
“Obviously, Emerson would love to play in the Premier League and it’d be a dream to work with Conte, as he is among the best Coaches in the world.”
However, this evening Sky Sport Italia transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio reveals Emerson isn’t the only subject being discussed by the two clubs.
They are also negotiating for Dzeko, the former Manchester City striker, after missing out on several other targets and seeing Andy Carroll injured.
Chelsea have offered €50m for both Emerson Palmieri and Dzeko, whereas Roma are asking for a series of bonuses that would take the total sum up to €65m.
The Blues are hoping to include Michy Batshuayi on loan as part of the deal.
