A medical doctor turned international hacker, who has been on the Police wanted list, Michael Thompson Williams, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command. One of Michael Thompson Williams’ car Michael, who boasted of his escapades as a hacker, took a swipe at the Nigerian banking system, describing it as the easiest to hack, including government-owned account. The 28-year-old suspect mentioned an American leading Hollywood actor, John Travolta, as one of his prey, revealing that his (Travolta) account was being monitored through a programmed device, where cash running into millions of US dollars were diverted weekly. During preliminary investigation, it was discovered that the suspect, who has mastery of the cyber café environment, created credit cards of deceased foreigners through cyber Ghost 12. A lady was hit by a stray bullet during a gun battle between policemen and armed robbers in Sapele area of Delta state. The police officers responded to a distress call from a vigilante who sighted some thieves climbing a fence in the area. A s soon as the policemen arrived, the robbers shot at them while trying to escape. The police officers responded back by shooting back at them. In the course of the fire fight, a lady who came out early in the morning to help her neighbor cook for a party – was hit by a stray bullet in the head. The policemen on discovering that the lady was hit – rushed her to the hospital where she was treated and has been discharged.

Police in Uganda have arrested two men after they apprehended with bodies of roasted babies. The men at different times reportedly abducted the babies, roasted them and were to used them for ritual purposes. Twitter user @solomonkibs73 who shared the photos of the men online, wrote ''Men caught with dried babies Wrapped with different clothes And ropes. All you are seeing here on the floor are dried babies,his girlfriend leads the police to his arrest when their one month old baby suddenly got missing''.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested and grilled a JAMB official based in Makurdi, Philomina Chieshe, who claimed that a snake swallowed N36m. The money was part of the proceeds of the sale of scratch cards. Detectives at the commission told newsmen that Chieshe revealed that the money was collected in instalments from her by her Coordinator, Mr. Samuel Umoru. In one of the statements she volunteered to the EFCC, Chieshe who is a clerk in the Makurdi office of JAMB, was said to have revealed that the coordinator usually asked her to withdraw proceeds of the sale of the cards from her account in two banks. In the statement she made to the EFCC under oath, Chieshe said, “This money that I withdraw, the coordinator used it for the office and some time for himself.” She claimed that she had been warning Umaru that it was wrong to use the money for miscellaneous expenses in the office or for private purposes but he would not listen.
