OFFICIAL: Dortmund sack Peter Bosz & appoint former Koln coach Peter Stoger as manager. Stoger's contract with Dortmund ends at the end of this season.

Dortmund's miserable run continued on Saturday as they crashed to a 2-1 home defeat against third-bottom Werder Bremen.

They have failed to win a single Bundesliga game from their last eight (three draws, five losses) – their longest winless run in more than 17 years (February to April 2000, 14 matches).

Bosz took over before the start of the season and got off to a great start as Dortmund led the league table by five points at the end of September.

But they have taken just three points from three draws in their eight league games since, dropping to seventh -- out of the European places for the first time this season -- following their latest defeat.
