Cleric enjoins Nigerians to prepare for death




chief Imam of Ile-Ife in Osun State, Alhaji Semiu Hamad, has described death as an inevitable end, hence the need for everyone to always prepare for death in all their undertakings. Hamad stated this in Ile-Ife at a Fidau prayer for Alhaji Adetoyebi Adenle Ayedun,
the late father of a former Osun State Commissioner for Culture, Tourism and Home Affairs, Alhaji Sikiru Ayedun. The chief imam, who noted that every mortal would taste death, urged the people to live a pious life that would make them to meet Allah in peace on the day of judgment.
Hamad called on Nigerians to refrain from sinful acts attributing the challenges confronting Nigerians to lack of fear of Allah. Hamad said the late Ayedun was a committed Muslim who spent his life serving God and humanity. The cleric urged the children of deceased to live in unity and continue to sustain the legacy of their father in the community. Meanwhile, Alhaji Sikiru Ayedun described his late father as a honest, caring, pious and straight forward person who lived a worthy life. He said his father would be greatly missed for his love and care to his family, submitting that he was one in a million.
