CRISTIANO RONALDO allegedly told his Real Madrid team-mates he was going to return his latest Ballon d'Or after the El Clasico defeat, according to astonishing claims in the Spanish press.

 The Portuguese superstar, 32, is not known for his humility but is reported to have admitted he did not deserve a fifth trophy.

 "The most just thing is that I return the ball, I do not deserve it,"

 The report adds that Ronaldo's team-mates, friends and family urged him to change his mind but it was too late.
