A 29 year old south African, Rabelani Ramali (pictured right) has launched a contest in South Africa where girls between 35 years and below would be given the sum of R100,000 plus medals, for being virgins.
Rabelani who is a father of five children, by four women out of wedlock, says he came up with the idea to checkmate the rate of unwanted pregnancies and HIV cases in the country. He claims his NGO was registered in 2013 and is going to help out with this task.
Rabelani has contacted local doctors and health officials who would conduct the tests on the women, after which the whooping sum of R100,000 would be given to the winners. R100,000 to those between ages 31 and 35, R50,000 to those within 26 and 30 years, and R25000 to those in the ages of 21 to 25.
What do you think about the test and how do you think it would fare if such a test were to be done in Nigeria?
